HOW ALLWEST IS HELPING TO KEEEP OUR STAFF AND CUSTOMERS HEALTHY
MODIFICATIONS TO OUR STANDARD IN-PERSON SERVICES:
Allwest has taken steps to allow participants to safetly conduct examinations while adhering to the current health and safety guideliness.
We have set up our large boardrooms to allow for counsel and their clients to be together, while still adhering to proper social distancing. The reporter and examing lawyer are present in a different room and the examinations are conducted via intra-office video conference.
Through the use of document cameras any documents can be clearly presented to the witness and we are able to make copies of all exhibits allowing us to provide documents to both parties.
Following the same basic setup as the examinations, we are able to conduct mediations via intra-office video conferencing.
Parties are provided their own boardroom, with clearly marked areas to ensure proper social distancing. We can provide a boardroom for each participant or two parties can share the same large boardroom.
Documents can be shared with our integrated document camera to allow for all parties to easily see.
We can handle any document production necessary in-house so that all parties can be provided the necessary documents.
HEARING ROOM CONVERTED TO EXAMINATION / MEDIATION ROOM
We've transformed our hearing room into a social distancing compliant examination room that can host up to eight parties.
Perfect for examinations with interpreters and multiple parties.
Each counsel is provided a document camera that allows any paper to be show on large screen monitors, documents can also be shared with parties attending remotely by video conference.
We've clearly marked out areas to ensure parties stay at least 2 metres apart at all times. This allows parties to still have in-person examinations while adhereing to the current health restrictions.
We also thoroughly clean prior to and immediately after parties arrive and depart to help keep our staff and clients safe and healthy.
MOVING TO VIRTUAL PROCEEDINGS:
Allwest has moved to providing all services virtually. Whether you are looking at a simple examination or holding a complex hearing we can help. We run a private, secure and fully Canadian video conferencing service that allows parties to easily sign into the conference. As our system is private, we do not suffer from the same slowdowns the larger conferencing systems suffer from. You also do no need to make a user account or provide any personal information to use our system and as our conference server is located in Canada, we are compliant with Canadian privacy laws.
Additionally, we provide full support for our video conferencing system, meaning we provide testing prior to the proceedings and full support during the proceeding. No long waits for tech support which lead to lengthy delays in hearings. Something goes wrong, give us a call and we will get you up and running.
We are currently running over 30 virtual proceedings per month during COVID ranging from examination under oaths to multi-day disciplinary hearings to hosting witnesses appearing in international courts. Our video conference services are also compatible with the BC Court's video conferencing services, allowing us to act as a bridge (host) between the courts and your witness, wherever located domestically or internationally.
